Interim Transactional Finance Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity in Central London for someone looking for an Interim Transactional Finance Manager role in a fast paced and growing Pharmaceuticals organisation! You will be part of the finance team, reporting into the Group Financial Controller and will take ownership for development of the accounts payable and receivable functions.
We are currently partnering exclusively with a fantastic Pharmaceuticals organisation based in Central London.
They are looking to hire a Interim Transactional Finance Manager to join their fast-growth business.
This role is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract however due to the growth of the company, there is the potential to extend this contract to assist with other accounting, finance tasks or projects.
The Interim Transactional Finance Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Manage a direct junior resource reporting into you and their development
- Manage and maintain the purchase to pay cycle ensuring vendors paid in line with agreed terms and cash requirements of the business. Daily upload of invoices, trigger approval workflows and appropriate coding of invoices in readiness to pay and recognise in the appropriate account period
- Collate and create the monthly payment run as well as ad hoc amounts as and when required by the business, ensuring bank details are controlled
- Maintain vendor records in NetSuite and ensure data integrity and appropriate system utilisation is continually reviewed and improved upon
- Manage the billing circle, raising invoices, posting, matching and allocating cash
- Manage the group Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable inbox ensuring incoming mail is actioned and filed in a timely manner
- Manage any approvals/escalations from Accounts receivable and Custom Billing request approvals
- Support Credit Control as well as helping to resolve payment discrepancies
- Post bank transactions daily, perform bank reconciliations fortnightly and reconcile Balance Sheet at the month end
- Process Monthly staff expenses, ensuring process communicated and managed across the business to ensure timely processing and payment. You will work closely with US controller on Webexpenses and integration
- Management of the company credit card process, downloading and sending statements for allocation and approval. Monthly reconciliations to ensure all costs accounted for in a timely manner
- Assist with month and year end closing as well as year end audit.
- System utilisation and integration maintenance and review in support of the Group Financial Controller
- Responsible for routine reporting and ad hoc reporting as required by management
The ideal Interim Transactional Finance Manager will need to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant experience for a company or division of a small to medium international corporation
- Demonstrable experience of people management and driving change within the finance team and within the finance systems
- Experience of using NetSuite together with NetSuite/finance system development – Otherwise being open to quickly learn the new system
- Able to work on a range of integrated and interfaced accounting systems including NetSuite as well as being competent in Microsoft Excel
- Able to help formulate credit and collection policy and are able to enforce them
- Diligent with great attention to detail, you are able to spot issues and escalate but are also able to see and understand the big picture
- Great communication skills and can work to tight deadlines
On offer for the Interim Transactional Finance Manager role in London is a salary of up to £60,000 dependant on experience plus excellent benefits.
